The Department is evolved as a strong teaching and research in a span of five years with the support of University authorities, faculty members, research scholars and students (National & International). Further it is improvising with publications, patents, extra mural research grants from National Organizations and in terms of infrastructural facilities. In addition, the faculties are able to collaborate with the industry and other departments in the interdisciplinary research areas such as Nano biotechnology, Medical Biotechnology, and Systems Biology etc., to strengthen the Department. Most of our students are obtaining research and intern fellowships to pursue higher studies and taking part in the development of several multi-national laboratories. The nurturing department invites several distinguished scientists/ researchers from various parts of the country for seminars to discuss on cutting edge areas of research in modern Biology.
